Chris is a seven year veteran of the global equity hedge fund industry. In mid 2011 he noticed several startling developments: the emergence of a keen taste for brown bread, dark chocolate and cycling. As a result he decided to take that twelve month sabbatical he had always dreamed of before a hip replacement beckoned. Aided by his trusted muse Emma,  he started investourist, an attempt to find investment inspiration by travelling the globe. Cedilla Research is the outcome of that trip; the application of passions for technology, travel and independent thinking in one neat package. In (what feels like) a previous life Chris was a professional physiotherapy patient and sometime footballer with Newcastle United.

Experience: Global technology analyst with expertise in emerging technologies and the disruptive impact of social media, mobile computing and cloud technologies. Previous experience as an investment analyst for a global equity hedge fund, and playing professional football for Newcastle United.

Academia: MSc in Bioinformatics from Imperial College, London; MA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Magdalen College, Oxford; Successfully completed CFA in 2009.
